NOTE: Enclosure has 'VAIO' stamped on it, but this is not made or licensed by Sony.

Cheap, easy way to get a high-capacity portable drive (just add a normal 2.5" hard disk, like used in laptops)
USB2.0 is much faster than USB1, USB2.0 is approximately the same speed as Firewire/IEEE1394(which is very fast)
USB2.0: 480Mbps
USB1.1: 12Mbps

Ideal for transporting/transferring large files(eg: video, graphics), backups, system cloning etc.

Note: This enclosure will only fit the 9.5mm(this is the most common size I think) or thinner hard disks, as the enclosure is very thin.

No limit is specified, but I suspect there might be a limit on the storage size of the HDD you can use - I would guess it's somewhere around 80GB.
