Cable has playstation plug at one end, & 1 S-Video, 1 RCA video(yellow plug, composite video), 2 RCA audio(stereo) plugs at the other end.

Can use either Composite Video(plain video, yellow plug) or S-Video plug for video.

Composite video is most common video standard, the vast majority of TVs & VCRs have RCA sockets to match plug on this cable.
S-Video is less common, but gives a better picture, as S-Video cables carry parts of the video signal(Luma & Chroma) seperately. Composite video combines all of the signal, resulting in image degradation.
Anything with an S-Video in socket can be used with the s-video plug on this cable
