Just like a Playstation2 controller, but has a USB plug instead of a Playstation plug - so plugs straight into your computer, no adaptor needed! Cable length: 1.7m
Many people will find it more comfortable & intuitive than using a keyboard, mouse or joystick. Great for playing emulated games on your computer as well - for example Playstation,N64 & older(Mega Drive,NES,…) games. Saves wearing out other devices as well, especially if going to be used by kids!
All the same buttons & controls as Playstation controller: - vibration feedback - 2x Analog thumbsticks (and can press down thumbsticks to 'click' them like buttons) - D-pad, 8 direction --> please note, the left/right movements require more pressure than normal to activate. You can just use the left stick(in non-analog mode) for the same function though <-- - [1],[2],[3],[4] buttons (like X,Square,Circle,Triangle on a Playstation controller) - four trigger buttons - Select, Start buttons
Typically games will let you assign any button to any action, so you can use buttons etc however you like.
Analog mode can be switched on or off. Analog mode: - both thumbsticks analog direction controls, D-Pad functions as a POV(Point-Of-View) hat Non-analog mode: - D-Pad & left analog thumbstick works as left, right,up,down. Right analog thumbsticks acts like pressing 1,2,3,4 buttons.
Compatibility: Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7. Any version of Windows after Windows 95 should work fine(as they support USB) Linux, MacOS, OSX etc = will almost certainly work with any modern operating system, but won't support vibration. USB socket on your computer is required (almost all PCs have this)
Optional Windows drivers(for vibration) can be downloaded here (Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000 will probably work with XP drivers): www.gamegeek.co.nz/downloads/AGJ-3700 XP.exe www.gamegeek.co.nz/downloads/AGJ-3700 WIN 7.exe www.gamegeek.co.nz/downloads/AGJ-3700 VISTA.exe
Will also work fine without loading drivers(it is detected as a 'generic usb joystick'), but you wouln't be able to use vibration function then.
As with other joysticks, will only work with games that support a joystick. Won't usually(if at all) work in DOS mode, just like other USB controllers. DOS mode is only important for very old games(made before about 1997).
These don't come with a retail box, but will be packaged to prevent damage.
