Dance mat for use with a computer, connects to USB socket. Dance mats/dance games are sometimes referred to as 'DDR' mats/games, named after the original 'Dance Dance Revolution' game.
Works with every dancing game I tried, will work with any game that supports a joystick - but see details below. Please note that left,right,up,down movements show up as button presses, rather than as the normal left,right,up,down signals. This is actually best, as PCs sometimes won't allow game controllers to send up/down, or left/right signals simultaneously. There's no such problem when they show as button presses. However, some non-dancing games might not support the use of buttons as direction controls.
Compatibility: No driver is required, as it's detected as a 'generic' gamepad - it uses the builtin drivers of the operating system. Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7. Any version of Windows after Windows 95 should work fine(as they support USB) Linux, MacOS, OSX etc = will almost certainly work with any modern operating system. USB socket on your computer is required (almost all PCs have this)
As with other joysticks, will only work with games that support a joystick. Won't usually(if at all) work in DOS mode, just like other USB controllers.
There are some excellent free dancing games for PC: www.stepmania.com (if you were only going to use 1 game, this would be the one to use) http://dwi.claws-and-paws.com/index.php www.flashflashrevolution.com http://icculus.org/pyddr/
Size = 90cm x 80cm
Please note that box might not be included, to keep delivery cost low. I can supply box if wanted, but that might require an extra delivery charge(depends on location, please enquire if you need box)
Note: Dance mat is crinkled in photo, as has just been unfolded. They seem to smooth out fairly quickly when used.
