Brand new 3m long network('LAN') cable.
Info is in 2 sections - XBox360, & Xbox(older machine)
- - - - - - - Xbox 360 :
Xbox360 can use patch cable for connecting any number of Xbox360's. It doesn't require crossover cable to connect 2 machines directly: http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/support/xbox360/console/howto-systemlink.htm
Can also be used to connect between Xbox360 & internet(broadband) modem/router, for Xbox Live.
- - - - - - - Xbox (older machine):
Allows you to connect as many Xbox's together as the game supports(up to 16 Xbox's on current games) to play with/against each other, on seperate TVs. 1 cable needed per Xbox. All you need to add is a plain ethernet hub, switch or router (usually used with PCs) which are very cheap.
NOTE: Can NOT be used to directly connect 2 Xbox's without a hub/switch, a crossover cable(xbox link cable) is required for that - please see my other listings. > To connect 2 Xbox's, or 1 Xbox to 1 PC = use 1 crossover cable(xbox link cable), or patch cables + hub/switch if preferred > To connect more than 2 Xbox's &/or PCs = must use patch cables + hub/switch.
Works with any Xbox, whether you have a modchip or not. Works with any game that supports 'system link'(is printed on back of game cover), eg: --->Number in brackets is max number of Xbox's can connect Halo(4), Halo 2(16) Serious Sam(8) Crimson Skies(16) MechAssault(8) Brute Force(4) Return to Castle Wolfenstein(16) Project Gothem Racing 2(8) Time Splitters 2(4) Ghost Recon, & Island Thunder (16) Unreal(10) Solder of Fortune(10) Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4(8) motogp 2(16) & a lot more
Can also be used to connect between Xbox & internet(broadband) modem/router, for Xbox Live.
This cable can also used to connect between your Xbox & computer if you have an ethernet hub/switch/router, for online gaming(via 'Xlink Kai' or similar, instead of Xbox Live paid service), Xlink Kai tricks the Xbox into thinking it's on a local network. Or to transfer files between Xbox & PC(or another XBox), you'll need software on your Xbox(so will need to have been modified by a modchip/flashed bios/etc) to support this. You'll need a network card(builtin or addon) in your PC for this.
-- Also suitable for any other device that uses a standard ethernet cable, for example Playstation3, Computers etc
