Brand new SCART AV cable(length=1.75m) to connect your GameCube or SNES(SNES 2/Jr needs a mod to work with SCART) to TV/Projector etc.
SCART cables provide the best picture possible (technically even better than Component!). This fully wired SCART cable has RGB, S-Video(s-video only works with NTSC Gamecube consoles), Composite video, & stereo audio all wired into it. RGB carries Red, Green & Blue seperately - reducing crosstalk/interference, & means the signal is unaltered in TV.
An added advantage of SCART is that NTSC(US,Jap standard) games will play in full colour on your PAL(NZ std) TV! (as PAL or NTSC is irrelevant to RGB) If you can play NTSC games, but they're Black&White - they'll now play in colour. It won't make your game machine(Gamecube,SNES....) capable of playing NTSC games, it will just make them display in colour if it's already capable of playing NTSC games(for example, if you use a 'freeloader' disc with your Gamecube.
Cable has GameCube/SNES plug at one end; 21 pin SCART plug at other end. (see photo)
Also supports composite video, though this isn't recommended as doesn't improve quality. When using composite video(not RGB) this cable gives a brighter picture than the Nintendo cables, so colours can look a little washed out sometimes. This is because they're missing a 75ohm resistor which is in Nintendo cables, this is in no way harmful to your TV or console though. This does NOT happen when using RGB through SCART though
Very well made cable - solid construction, filter on cable etc.
NOTE: For some reason this cable seems to put out 6V on pin 8 of the SCART plug, which is the voltage used to set a TV to widescreen. As such, your TV might go into widescreen when using this cable. Most TVs seem to ignore this though, & you can remove the pin if it's a problem.
Will NOT work with Nintendo 64 for RGB, as N64 doesn't support RGB.
