Brand new Xbox 360 VGA cable to connect your Xbox to TV/Projector/Monitor/stereo/receiver etc. Good quality cable. Cable length: 170cm
Cable has Xbox 360 plug, with Optical socket, at one end; VGA plug + 2x RCA plugs(audio) at other end.
VGA: VGA connections are typically found on these devices: Computer Monitors = basically all CRT monitors, & most LCD monitors LCD & Plasma TVs = most should have a VGA socket Projectors = almost all projectors, except ones made many years ago, support VGA
VGA provides excellent picture quality, only HDMI is better(technically, unlikely to see any difference in most situations) Also ideal for use with older Xbox360's, which don't have HDMI sockets.
VGA from the Xbox360 supports modes equivalent to HDTV, & other resolutions: 640 x 480 848 x 480 1024 x 768 1280 x 720 (720p) 1280 x 768 1280 x 1024 1360 x 768 1440 x 900 1680 x 1050 1920 x 1080 (1080p)
NOTE: Some websites list a maximum resolution of 1360 x 768, but I checked with my Xbox360 & it listed all resolutions above. It seems the higher resolutions were added in a later system update(Xbox360 automatically downloads updates when connected to the internet)
AUDIO: Red & White RCA plugs carry standard stereo analog audio, to your TV / stereo / amplifier (some computer monitors have speakers builtin, but might need a cable adaptor to connect to monitor audio inputs). 5.1 audio(see below) is a better option if you have equipment to use 5.1 digital audio.
OPTICAL SOCKET (5.1 DIGITAL AUDIO) : Optical digital audio(Toslink) = connect to 5.1 Dolby Digital receiver for surround sound, for both games & movies.
NOTE: Optical cable is not included
